Biography

CH Gandhi graduated with masters in Fine Arts from University of Hyderabad after completing a Bachelor of Fine arts in Painting from JNTU, Hyderabad. His works reflect his perceptions and understanding of Indian society. To that extent, his body of work forms a visual image of the artist's self-consciousness as well as his experience with different people through his journey. He has a distinct preference for primary, bold colours – but they blend with a softness. Throughout his oeuvre, popular elements whether religious, historical, or mundane mix together in an intricate pattern. The present series is done in watercolor on paper with a choice of images like portraits and animals reciprocate popular icons or religious symbols.

He has participated in several exhibitions in India and abroad.
